The Whole Nine Yards

Waking up this morning and still feeling down. Just cannot chase the feeling away and not having mood for doing anything. Today, most people is start working back after 4-5 days holiday for Christmas & Awal Muharram. My office is still kind of empty because certain people we only come back after New Year. Anyway, I am on leave today.

Check thru my email, a colleague forward a horoscope mentioned a personality borne by Zodiaq. Well, it said that I am The Enduring One as mentioned below. I admit certains are thru.

Selamat Tahun Baru Hijrah kepada semua umat Islam.

Hampir 13 jam kita telah berada di tahun baru, 1430H. Jujurnya, saya sendiri jarang mengingati kalendar Islam ekoran segala peristiwa dalam hidup seharian dirujuk kepada kalendar Masihi.Ya, Satu pengakuan yang memalukan bagi  seorang Muslim. Tidak perlu disalahkan sesiapa. Cukuplah jika dikatakan diri sendiri alpa dan tidak mengambil inisiatif mengamalkan apa yang dipelajari oleh ibu bapa, guru dsb. Ilmu tanpa amalan, akhirnya hilang dari pandangan dan ingatan.

Kebanyakan kita pasti mengetahui tarikh lahir mereka dalam Tahun Masihi. Segelintir insan yang tidak bernasib baik mungkin tidak mengetahuinya sementelah ibu bapa sendiri pun tidak diketahui.  Tapi tidak semua di kalangan kita mungkin tahu tarikh lahir mereka dalam Tahun Hijrah. Mengetahui tarikh lahir sendiri jatuh pada 6 Syaaban 1403H. Jelasnya, mengikut Tahun Hijrah, diri sudah berusia 27 tahun. Beberapa hari lagi, usia berdasarkan Tahun Masihi akan menjadi 26 tahun. Sudah tiba masanya diri untuk berubah menjadi yang lebih baik. Mencari diri serta tujuan hidup yang makin kabur kerana hidup tanpa tujuan bagai layang-layang yang putus talinya.

Paparan kali ini khususnya sebagai peringatan kepada diri sendiri. Menyedari diri semakin jauh hanyut dalam dunia yang penuh fatamorgana. Bukan sekadar berazam  sempena tahun baru. Hanya berdoa semoga tahun ini Yang Esa akan melimpahkan nur-Nya kapada hambanya yang sangat lemah ini. Semoga diri lebih kuat menghadapi dugaan yang mendatang.

As mentioned earlier, year 2008 is going to end soon. I did post my 2008 wishes on What I wanna be in Year 2008 in last Feb. Let’s see how far my achievement.

1. Wanna buy a lap top -  Done Feb 2008

2. Became a workaholic person : SO-SO. Work reduces a lot since handling others regions. Specifically,  after Hari Raya Puasa & move to new office. Good news, manage to overcome 50% of my “delayed” attitude .

3. Personality – become a more positive thinker, optimistic, resourceful. Dare to challenge the world out there. To overcome my inferiority complex problems. Still working on it. Actually, the performance by graph, it’s flactuate.

4. Social life – to enjoy my social life up to the limit. Go as far I can reach…

1. School Reunion – mission accomplished in Jan 08 but no further series
2. Camping – done for 3 - 4 times
3. Will frequently go for walking – normally go to FRIM. 2 - 3 times
4. Wanna go to Bukit Cerakah and cycling there more often. Once only. anyway move to Segambut already.
5. Wanna go out for ‘makan-makan’ at many places in Klang Valley and Selangor, quite many places.
6. Perhaps go for a Cuti-Cuti Malaysia in one of Island in Malaysia, Langkawi in May, joined Wilderness Langkawi Challange some more.
7. I wanna have a KL Visit at least once. Visit historical buildings, museums, any KL attractions would do except for Shopping Malls. Emmy you still owe me for this plan, OK?
8. Boyfriend? May be not May be yes. Let it be.. But a domestic partner would do. Hehehehe….Just kidding – Hehe, got one. wanna know many more people…spread my wings..add friends…yup, do it slowly
9. Any activities which can fill my every weekend. I wanna live to the fullest

5. My English – written, spoken, listening. All should be improved. Hmm, no comment

6. Wish to learn another language. This not compulsory to be achieved by this year. OK,  please hold till further notice.
